Christmas Tree and Cold Front
We are having a great family weekend! We started it off early on Thursday afternoon when we went to get our Christmas Tree. I remember doing this last year, holding Ava, and telling Bryan just think next year Ava will be running up and down these rows. And that she was. We took her to this lot called Tree Towne and it was perfect for littles. She loved her Daddy holding her up to smell all the trees. Then that night we ate Popeyes chicken. For some reason that is our traditional meal for Tree Decorating night. Started when Bryan and I were just teenagers. Then we decorated the tree. It was wonderful and Ava's eyes were all lit up and excited. We currently have no ornaments on the bottom part of our tree because Ava keeps trying to yank them off. She is fascinated with the tree and when we wake up in the morning she runs out to see if its still there. The rest of the weekend has been spent snuggling up (thank God for some chilly weather this weekend), listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies like The Polar Express and The Santa Clause, and cooking and relaxing. Last night I was supposed to work and I got cancelled! That was the best. I love being at home with my Fam!! Here are some pics of our Christmas Tree Adventure..............

Where has my brain gone?
Just got back from a "quick" trip to Publix that turned into a 2 hour fiasco! Ava and I were on our way home from the library and I decided to swing into Publix to pick up a couple of ingredients I needed to make dinner tonight. I was in a hurry to get home because it was lunch time for Ava and then nap time. Well I'm on the phone with my sister and distracted and picked up a few extra things that I didn't need (poinsettias), check out, pushed Ava and the cart out to the car and realized with a panic that I don't have my keys. Dump my diaper bag, peek through the windows at every square inch inside the truck, search through every grocery bag....no keys. So I had to walk the walk of shame back into the store and announce that I lost my keys. No keys turned in, not at the cashier I checked-out at, so the search begins. I searched every isle with the help of the Publix crew and nothing. All the shoppers were starring and some tried to help. The manager even watched the camera film of me shopping to see if he could spot my keys. Finally I had given up and decide to walk home, Publix said they would deliver my groceries. As I'm walking out of the store clutching Ava and trying to maintain some dignity, a manager runs out jingling my keys!!! They were on the first shelf up in the candy isle....little Miss thought that would be a nice place for them. From now on my keys will be hidden from Miss Ava, I've learned my lesson. Sometimes I just have to laugh at myself....And the whole time I was saying Ava where are my keys and with her innocent eyes starring up at me she just lifted her hands up, palms up, shrugging, like I don't know. HaHa....
Anyways here are the rest of the pictures from our trip back to Tampa for Thanksgiving....

Thanksgiving 2010
Ava is taking a nap right now so I decided to get back to my blog that I have so neglected....We went back to Tampa for Thanksgiving and spent this year on the Schmied side of the family. There were lots of sickies ( Grandma, Grandpa, Bailey, Uncle Peter) through the week but in the end everyone felt great and we had a wonderful time. I had come home earlier in the week to spend a few days with my mom and sisters and then Bryan joined us on Wednesday and we stayed at Pete and Brias for the rest of the week. Bryan stayed through the weekend and I came home on Friday afternoon to work.
Ava was having such a great time having family and kids to play with that she didn't know what to do with herself. Plus there was Depo, extra bonus. This year I am so thankful for family, cousins for Ava to play with, baby Riley on the way, Aunts and Uncles, and Grandparents that all love and take care of my Baby!! Most of all I am thankful for the family and life I have with Bryan and that we created this precious baby girl that fills my heart till it feels like it will burst!!
We had a great visit back home and what a great way to start the holiday season .....
