I Love My Family: Part 3

Okay so we are at Day 6 of my family visit. This day I went back to work while my parents watched Ava again. When I called home on my lunch break my Mom says, " I didn't think I would cry this time when I left but I've already cried twice." And I knew at that moment that I was gonna cry big time when I told them bye. Once I got home they were all packed and ready to go :*( and Ava and I said our goodbyes and Yes there were tears a flowing. After they were gone I had to regroup because my Mother-in-law and sister-in-law (Grandma and Aunt Erica) were on there way to watch Ava for the rest of the week. They didn't get in until late so Ava woke up to a big surprise on Day 7.......

Fun with Grandma and Aunt Erica. As I left for work this morning Ava was already having a blast and not even noticing that I was walking out the door. She was busy playing with Grandma's suitcase. She kept opening and closing it and putting her toys in it. So I left with ease, knowing that Ava was content and entertained. I came home and this is what Miss Ava had been up to all day......

And some of this

Erica had made dinner for us , Apricot Chicken, and it was delicious! Then we bathed Ava and after she was in bed, we all watched Couples Retreat. Good Times.

Day 8:

To my surprise my hospital cut orientation short and I got today off. It was great that I had a unexpected day to hang out. I woke up to Erica cooking breakfast for all of us. I felt so spoiled that my guest was cooking for me! Today I took them to see Bryan's office. They are extremely proud of him and got to meet everyone at his office. We all went to lunch at this delicious Thai food restaurant and besides Ava's minor melt down with staying in her high chair, it was great! It once again was time to say good - bye. On my way back home with Ava I got really sad. I miss not living by our family. They are all great and Bryan, Ava, and I are so lucky to have them in our lives. But through the weekend I began to feel better and know that these times are to be cherished because they are not the routine and that's what makes it extra special.

Giving some love

So that was our week, and it was perfect!! And in other family news, I have a big announcement to make about one of my family members. More to come...

I Love My Family: Part 2

Okay so we are up to Day 3 which was Sunday which also means football, football, football. We did manage to do a few other things. That morning after coffee we went over to the pool for some sunshine. Ava loves to play on the steps and wants to climb in and out, over and over. This child has no fear and just wants to jump in the water. I guess she knows her momma is right there to catch her. She also loves to play in the shower once we get out of the pool. I think this might actually be her favorite part........

Swimming with Grammy

Snack Break: Goldfish and Teddy Grahams

Always into something

Shower Time

After lots of football, Mom and I decided we needed to get some more fresh air, so we took Ava to the park, where we swung, played on the playground, and fed some ducks, turtles, birds, and even a squirrel....

One of my favorite pictures with her!

Our Squirrel

Isn't he cute?

Oh, and we colored

Day 4: Bryan had to go back to work today, so that was sad. The rest of us decided to go to the beach.

And play outside

Baby went down for her nap after lunch and Mom and I watched a girly movie on TV, "Forget Paris". Afterwards Ava was in a good mood and we took her to the library to get some books and I found the original Strawberry Shortcake DVD. I couldn't believe this - this was a treasure from my childhood!! Once Bryan got home, we had spaghetti dinner and it was time for Monday Night Football.

Day 5:
I had to go back to work today, so that was really sad. Haha. I called my Mom for an update every break I had. Ava did great! She didn't cry at all. She had so much fun with Grammy and PaPa. They went back to the pool and the park. I, on the other hand was a mess. Meeting all new people, leaving my baby. But the best was when I came Home and was greeted with so many hugs and kisses from Ava.

Mommy's Home!!

And the week doesn't end here, to be continued....

I Love My Family

This last week I began orientation for the new hospital I will be working at. Usually when I work Bryan and I are able to rotate our schedules, so that one of us is always at home with Ava. However this week proved impossible for that, so in stepped our families. I am so grateful for them and that they came to stay with us and soaked up some time with Ava. Since we have moved to South Florida, I've had my share of lonely days and have really been missing my Fam. This week was much needed and I had so much fun just sharing our everday life and routines with family. They never get to see the ends and outs of my day as a Mommy to Ava and it was nice. Then during the week, they got to have some alone time and quality time with Ava when I went to work. The week started last Friday when my Parents ( PaPa and Grammy) got here. I had put up all my Halloween stuff to set the mood for the season and cleaned from head to toe.
These are some pictures of when they first got here....

This night we had Ava's 12 month portrait session at the beach with Bella Photography. She took a ton of pictures and can't wait to see how they turned out. Well after all that hard work we decided to relax and let the boys fish.

These pictures are only from 2 days of the entire week but it's dinner time so I will have to post about the rest of the week in installments. I'm getting sad thinking how fast the week went by but at least we had such a good time and made lots of memories. More to come later.
